DMITRY KARAYEV, M.D. F.A.C.P., F.A.C.R. Dr. Dmitry Karayev has been an associate at the Center for Rheumatology Medical Group since 2011 as a board certified Rheumatologist. He completed his fellowship in Rheumatology and residency in Internal Medicine from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and graduated medical school from Tufts University School of Medicine. As an attending physician at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, he continues to teach rheumatology fellows, residents and medical students.

Dr. Karayev specializes in patients with: Ankylosing Spondylitis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Reactive Arthritis, IBD-related Arthritis, Pseudogout, Gout, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Vasculitis, Polymyalgia Rheumatica, Behcet’s Syndrome, Sjogren’s Syndrome and Spinal Stenosis. By specializing in these areas of Rheumatology, Dr. Karayev is able to provide his patients with a very comprehensive and thorough diagnosis and treatment plan that meets both their medical and financial needs. He excels in performing injections for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. He is known by his patients for his polite demeanor and his patient attitude. He is fluent in both English and Russian.

Dr. Karayev continues to research many different areas of rheumatology and autoimmunity. He has co-authored articles and abstracts for multiple journals (i.e. Arthritis and Rheumatology, Lupus, Gastroenterology) and enjoys expanding his knowledge on different autoimmune diseases. He has extensive expertise in autoimmune laboratory testing; having served as a medical director for one of the nation’s leading autoimmune laboratory, and being on the advisory board of the top in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) companies, specializing in the development and commercialization of new autoimmune technologies and diagnostic markers.
